She plays as an aggressive midfielder for the Tigers and attempted one shot on goal during her third season with the team. Following the season, Brianne earned the team's most dedicated player award.<b>2004 (Sophomore):</b>Martinez saw action in 18 contests in 2004, including four starts. Brianne saw the hard work she put in for two seasons come to fruition in Pacific's 3-1 win over SouthWest Missouri State on Oct. 17th as she scored her first goal and notched her first assist at Pacific. Martinez notched the assist first as she sent made the second pass on a corner play to set up teammate Vianney Campos. Later in the game, with Tigers leading 2-1, Martinez sealed the win with an unassisted goal.<b>2003 (Freshman):</b>Brianne did not appear in any contests in her first season with the Tigers, but she made an impact on the team with her hustle and dedication. Following the season, Brianne earned the Most Improved Player Award.<b>High School:</b>Martinez graduated from Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, Calif. Brianne earned a combined seven letters in field hockey (two), soccer (one) and track (four). As a senior Brianne was named MVP of the Lancers and grabbed the Offensive Player of the Year Award in her junior season. In addition she was named to the All-Metro Conference First Team in 2002. Off the field, Martinez was named a Union-Tribune Scholar Athlete as a senior.<b>Personal:</b>Brianne Martinez is the daughter of Frances and Richard Martinez. She has one sister, Bridgette (23). In her fourth year at Pacific, Brianne is a sport medicine major.<b>MacDonald on Martinez:</b>"Brianne will continue her midfield play. She has good footwork and she does a great job getting the ball into the circle on offense."
